Okul Öncesi Çocuğu Olan Farklı Sosyoekonomik Düzeylerde Ailelerin Çocuklarının Sosyal Uyum Becerilerinin Değerlendirilmesi

The main aim of this research is to evaluate the ways in which pre-school children’s social adaptations and competences change in terms of various variables and at what form and level these differences occur . Within this framework, it has been examined whether the social adaptation and skill of children differ according to various variables. Sample of this research is consist of 274 families which are still continuing pre-school education and live in different regions of TRNC. Data of this research is gathered by social adjustment and competence scale which is improved by Işık and Kandır (2007) and demographic information form prepared by the investigator. Mann-Whitney U test and by Kruskal-Wallis H test is used to analize data obtained by data collection tools used in the research. As a result of the analysis of the data, the children's social skills and adjustment scores differed due to children's school status and number of sibling; parental education level, parent-child age, family income level did not lead to a significant difference in children's social skills scores. The findings were discussed in relation with the literature and suggestions related to the subject were made.
