Preschool teachers' views on school culture and school principals' cultural leadership behavior

The aim of this study is to determine the views of preschool teachers working in independent kindergartens on cultural leadership behavior. The research includes the opinions of 15 participant kindergarten teachers working in kindergartens affiliated to Antalya Province Central District National Education Directorate in the 2021-2022 academic year. Qualitative research method was used in the research. A voice recorder was used in the qualitative study. The interviews were analyzed by content analysis and the percentage and frequency values of the data were given. Based on the data obtained from the research, it was determined that the cultural leadership behaviors of the school principals in independent kindergartens had positive effects on the teachers. They have learned all the elements related to the cultural leadership behavior of school principals, internalized the cultural elements and completed the evaluation process; It has been determined that the idea that he is the person who plays an active role with the vision and new values that he will reveal in the formation and interpretation of the culture is dominant. It is expected that this research will guide different studies that will increase the cultural leadership skills of school administrators. Keywords: Cultural leadership.
