Quiet ego in school psychological counselors,self compassion and psychological resiliencerelationship with job satisfaction

This study aimed to examine the relationship between school psychological counselors' quiet ego self-compassion, psychological resilience and job satisfaction levels. The sample of the research consists of a total of 492 school psychological counselors, 360 of whom are female and 132 of whom are male. Data were collected through the Personal Information Form, Calm Self Scale, Self-Compassion Scale, Brief Psychological Resilience Scale and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale. Independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, bonferroni test, levene test, pearson product moment correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, statistically significant, moderate and positive relationships were determined between school psychological counselors' job satisfaction levels and quiet ego, self-compassion and psychological resilience. According to the results of the research, it was found that the job satisfaction levels of school psychological counselors did not differ significantly according to gender, age and marital status variables. In addition, significant differences were found in the job satisfaction levels of school psychological counselors according to the variables of institution type and years of service. According to the regression analysis results, it was determined that quiet ego, psychological resilience and self-compassion explained 17% of the variance of job satisfaction, quiet ego and self-compassion were positively significant predictors of job satisfaction, while psychological resilience was not a significant predictor.
