Determination of professional directions of highschool students with school-university cooperation

This study mainly investigated the professional awareness level of high school senior students with school-university cooperation. This study is correlational in its nature. The research data were collected from 30 senior high school students studying at the science high school in Ardeşen district of Rize province. In the study, a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a tool to collect information. The expert opinion of the form was provided by consensus. A semi-structured seven-item interview form was distributed to the students participating in the study to get their opinions. Following the interviews conducted with the participants, the responses were analyzed and the frequency and percentage tables of the data were formed. The findings of this study which was conducted on senior high school students who are about to start their university education within the scope of school-university collaboration, manifested positive results in terms of motivation for the university exam, the the profession they will gravitate to and in terms of recognizing the profession they will choose. The study is expected to contribute to the field and to other researchers.
