Abstract (EN)

Technology is being developed every day and brings new opportunities to the education sector as it is in every sector. Educational institutions, which can benefit from these opportunities, can offer their students more modern and innovative education opportunities. The current primary school principals should be open and have the ability to manage innovations, in order to manage and evaluate these facilities. In the first part of the literature section of our study, the concept of innovation, innovation from the past to the present, the importance of innovation, types of innovation, sources of innovation and innovation management have been mentioned. In the second part of the literature section, creating and managing innovation culture in educational organizations are explained. In the research section, 188 people in primary schools in Beykoz district of Istanbul, consisting of head of school, deputy director, teacher and head of family unity, were taken as sample.Survey method was used to collect data."Innovation management scale in schools" was used as data collection tool. According to the results of the analysis; it was found that, the duty of teachers, their total experience in the schoolsand the seniority of the teachers were quite important in terms of innovation management.
