Abstract (EN)

This study aims to bring out the ideas and opinions of school administrators withregard to the managerial processes that need improvement, and distance educationtechnologies. It also strives to determine whether these ideas and opinions showdiscrepancy by the personal characteristics of school administrators. The research was designed in survey method. The research data were collectedthrough ?The Survey of Issues Needing Improvement?, consisting of three sections, developed by the researcher. The survey has been applied for 337 schooladministrators, from 123 primary and high school in spring semester of 2002-2003academic year in Eskişehir, were interviewed, and the data were obtained from 75.4% of the universe. To analyze and classify the data collected, frequency and percentage tables, and Chi-square tests were used. The SPSS for Windows was used for the application ofcertain statistical techniques. The study concludes that the issues of which the school administrators believed theyneed improvements show statistically meaningful discrepancies rather by thevariables of age and seniority. It also was found that there were, in several cases, discrepancies by the job position and the institution that is worked for.
