Administrator and teacher opinions on social justice practices in schools

The aim of the search is to provide solutions to existing problems by identifying the perceptions of school administrators and teachers towards the level of realization of social justice in schools and to develop an awareness towards the concept of social justice. This research carried out as a model of quantitative research was conducted in descriptive scanning.The research universe consists of teachers and administrators in elementary and secondary schools at the term of 2015-2016 education year in Batman. In the process of sample selection "simple random sampling" method was used. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS software (Statistical package for the Social Sciences). Parametric methods in the analysis of the data the t test; nonparametric methods such as Mann Whitney U and kruskal Wallis tests were used. The obtained outcomes from the research are: both the school administrators and teachers in the schools expressed positive opinions on the implementation of social justice. However, it has been observed that school administrators have more positive views than teachers do. The branches that teachers have and the level of schools in which they work don't affect on their opinions about the perceived level of social justice. According to the opinion of both the administrators and the teachers, all of the students, notwithstanding anything contrary to contained in the places where they live in, genders, economic situations etc. were treated equally.In the school environment, the fact that it should be provided for a comfortable environment where everyone can freely express their own opinion is recommended.
