Telling is a human action. From the birth of humanity to the present day, people express situations which are them in with various symbols, signs, and sounds. Conversion of telling into writing was possible by turning it into a certain systematic. Although myths, legends, and epics are productions of oral tradition which are on the grapevine, humanity could make sense with them in the framework of classification. Upon this, it can be said that narrative has a structure with itself. Over this perspective, it is necessary to make a distinction that telling is a situation that is oral, while narration refers to both verbal and written verbs. However, when specifically theoretical studies are examined, "narrative" is based on written texts. The reason why choosing the word "narrative" in the title of "The Search For Meaning in Ömer Faruk Dönmez Narratives: Humor and Tasavvuf" is the word that includes all the elements of the verb to tell in terms of scope. It did not want to cause confusion because the author has both long stories and tales. As a top title, the word narrative could have roles that are both convenient and widener. In spite of this, the fact that the author's texts were most likely to the story style causes which choosing the word story in the main title. The fact that not only Dönmez has a wide direction at both levels of readers and in the literary medium also recently increase of this group day by day has shown the importance of this study.
