Tafsir procedureism in the context of Ömer Nasuhi Bilmen's great history of tafsir and Tabakatü'l-Mufessirin

Ömer Nasuhi Bilmen is a religious scholar who witnessed the last years of the Ottoman Empire and the founding years of the Republic. His work entitled 'The History of Great Tafsir Tabakatul-Mufessirin' has an important place in the tafsir literature of the Republican period, It reflects Bilmen's meticulousness in the copyright of scientific works. First separately, then the History of Great Tafsir Tabakatul-Mufessirin, which he published by putting on the head of the book of the Tafsir method called Usul-ı Tafsir or Muqaddime-ı Ilm-ı Tafsir, did not receive the necessary attention in academic circles, because his work tafsir method did not receive the necessary attention in academic circles, in this study, we aimed to introduce Bilmen's exegetical methodism, to reveal his contribution to the exegetical method literature and We aimed to make a comparative evaluation with the tafsir-style books of Subhi al-Salih and Ismail Cerrahoglu, who can be considered a contemporary of Bilmen.
