Abstract (EN)
In this study, biogas production from cattle manure, poultry manure and waste potatoes and biohydrogen production via dark-fermentation by using dilute acid hydrolysis of waste potatoes were evaluated. The variety combination of the wastes at 10% TS concentrations shows that different amount of biogas obtained. The single cattle waste, 50% cattle and 50% poultry waste, % 30 cattle wastes and 70% poultry waste, 70% poultry waste and 30% waste potatoes and 50% poultry waste and 50% waste potatoes combinations were given as 219.19 mL, 256.6 mL, 290.2 mL, 370 mL and 384 mL biogas for per gram of TS, respectively. According to test results high amount of biogas were obtained from 50% poultry waste and 50% waste potatoes combinations. The cumulative biohydrogen production via dark fermentation from dilute acid hydrolysis of waste potatoes at different initial pH conditions were determined for per gram substrate as 48.47 mL, 67.58 mL, 99.21 mL, 100.68 mL, 69.26 mL and 3.64 mL for pH of 7.0, 6.5, 6, 5.5, 5 and 4.5, respectively. According to experimental results maximum biohydrogen production was obtained at pH 5.5-6. This research shows that animal waste and waste potatoes good raw materials for production of biogas and hydrogen by Dark fermentation.
