Abstract (EN)
In this study, organic farming and good agricultural practices, which are considered as a new production method in agricultural production, have been examined comparatively. Unconscious and intense chemical use in traditional agriculture has a negative effect on the health of the environment, human and other living things, has directed consumers to organic products and good agricultural products. In this study, it is aimed to measure the consumer behaviour and attitudes about organic food products and good agricultural products, to determine the level of awareness of the consumer about these concepts, to determine the factors that affect the consumption of organic food or good agricultural products and to identify the elements that will enable the consumers who do not consume these products. In order to obtain these data, a questionnaire consisting of 39 statements that measure consumer behaviours and attitudes about organic food products and good agricultural products has been organized. In the first part of the study, a general information were given about the aim of the study, the scope, materials and methods used in the research. In the second part, a general information was given about organic agriculture. In this section, organic agriculture is compared with classical agriculture, features, principles, objectives, advantages, disadvantages and legal regulations of organic agriculture are included. In addition, the development of organic agriculture and the history of the world and Turkey were examined. In the third part of the study, general information about good agricultural practices was given. The purpose of good agricultural practices, benefits, basic principles, the certification system, legal regulations and good agriculture development in the world and Turkey were examined. In the last part of the study, the findings obtained from the research are included. In this section, various data has been reached by using descriptive analysis and factor analysis methods. According to the survey data, six factors were determined as a result of the factor analysis conducted to measure consumer behaviours and attitudes about organic food products and good agricultural products. These factors explain 73,611% of the total variance. Factors were named respectively as hormone-residue, transportation to the market, environment-friendly, control, healthy finding, and consciousness level. At the last stage, these data were interpreted and results and suggestion sections are included.
