In this study, analyzing the extent and the specifications of mobbing behaviors which take place between employees with different demographic features and administrative levels is aimed, in a public institution in the state of Malatya. The thesis consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, conceptual frame of the mobbing concept, which is apparent in the organizations, is overviewed. The description and the properties of mobbing is also mentioned in this very chapter. In the second chapter, the results of the mobbing questionnaire which was applied to the public institution are examined. Questionnaire data is based on the answers given by the 180 employees who work in the institution at present. First of all, these results have been transferred to the SPSS 14.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) computer based program. Then frequency tables have been established, and results have been supported by (cake shaped) percentage graphics. Each questionnaire item has been subjected to the reliability test (Cronbach Alpha). In addition to this; cross-tables, T-tests and One Way ANOVA tests took place in the research. Consequently, it is determined that mobbing ratio is between 29.4% and 32.2% in the organization, and 5.6% of the personnel (sample) is exposed to mobbing at least once a week, and the concept ?mobbing? was not known by most of the personnel before this research.
