Abstract (EN)
Job satisfaction and burn out have great importance in today?s business life. This thesis aims to investigate levels of burn-out and work satisfaction of employees working in the banking sectors in which service is at the forefront and the related concepts are explained in detail.In the investigation of relationship between the job satisfaction and some demographic characteristics, the job satisfaction is positively correlated with age, working years and organizational level. It was found out that there is no significant relationship between the job satisfaction and Gender, marital status, educational level.Looking at some of the relationship between some the demographic characteristics such as income level and working time, the level of the burnout differs. Other demographic characteristics have no significant difference in the levels of employee burn-out.By utilizing The Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ), Banking Professionals job satisfaction scale intrinsic satisfaction, extrinsic satisfaction and general satisfaction levels are measured. Another method, The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), was utilized in order to measure Banking Professionals emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and low personal accomplishment levels were determined. In addition to these, in this research, the Personal Information Form was used.After the data collection, a statistical packet program called `SPSS? was used to analyze the results. For this analysis, correlation, t test, ANOVA, as a post-hoc test Scheffé's method was utilized. In this analysis, the maximum error threshold was considered to be 0.05.As a result of this research, it was found out that for banking professionals, the job satisfaction was inversely correlated with the level of burnout. That is when the Job satisfaction increases, the level of burnout decreases.Keywords: Job satisfaction, Burnout, Banking Professionals
