Abstract (EN)

In this research, organizational behavior issues were examined with their destructive aspects rather than their positive aspects. The main purpose of conducting this research is to examine the mediating role of the toxic leader in the relationship between organizational ostracism and organizational loneliness. In this study conducted with the quantitative research method, data were collected by survey technique from healthcare professionals working in the state hospital operating in the central district of Edirne province and academic staff working at Trakya University. 408 survey forms were distributed to those who volunteered to participate in the research. At the end of the research, 406 usable survey forms were analyzed and interpreted. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was determined that the employees participating in the study did not have a high perception of toxic manager behavior, their perception of loneliness in business life was high and their perception of exclusion at work was low. The increase in emotional deprivation, which is the sub-dimension of organizational loneliness, has an increasing effect on toxic leadership, but the increase in the perception of loneliness in the workplace, which is the social friendship dimension, has a decreasing effect on toxic leadership. However, organizational ostracism does not have a statistically significant effect on toxic leadership. In this respect, it can be said that the toxic leader has a partial mediator role in the relationship between organizational ostracism and organizational loneliness.
