Abstract (EN)

Organization is defined as a function in which the efforts of individuals are coordinated and controlled in line with certain goals and objectives. Loyalty, on the other hand, refers to strong feelings towards individuals and the organization they feel they belong to. One of the most important goals of the organizations is to improve the skills and abilities of the organizational personnel, to obtain the highest level of efficiency from the employees and to increase their loyalty to the organization. Employees with a high level of organizational loyalty are also more likely to participate in the organization and are expected to perform better within the organization than employees who do not. At the same time, employees with high organizational loyalty can establish good relations with other members of the organization and their job satisfaction levels can be higher. Measuring the organizational loyalty of employees is a very important issue for organizations. Therefore, the concept of organizational loyalty is gaining more and more importance day by day and it is seen that it has become a form of management practice for organizations. The aim of this study is to reveal the views of the academicians working at Isparta Süleyman Demirel University between January 2021 and February 2021 on organizational loyalty. In this study, phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research designs, and descriptive analysis technique were used in the analysis of the research data. Participating academicians from each title group were determined according to the maximum diversity sampling method used in the research. Since loyalty is a result of long-term high level of commitment, the feeling of loyalty must be subject to the precondition of the individual's commitment to the organization. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the atmosphere of the university affects the feelings of the academicians and their feelings affect the organizational loyalty within the concepts of trust, commitment and belonging. In response to the questions asked about the concept of organizational loyalty, it was determined that it had a constructive effect in general in line with the answers given by the participants. Themes were determined according to the research findings and direct quotations were made according to the descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the research, "loyalty, organizational loyalty, the importance of organizational loyalty, the factors affecting organizational loyalty, the factors of the organization that are worth loyalty for the individual, the superiority of the institution in terms of loyalty that will make a difference from other educational institutions in terms of the individual, the elements to be considered in organizational loyalty. The themes of "factors weakening the loyalty of the working organization" were reached. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained, the participants stated that "devotion regarding the concept of loyalty, the unity of benefit and purpose in the environment related to the concept of organizational loyalty, all ethical values, the formation of a comfortable environment in the work area regarding the importance of organizational loyalty, the difference of the institution from other educational institutions in terms of the individual when considering other educational institutions.
