Abstract (EN)

Each and every sentence first appeared in spoken language then transfered onto written. Thus it is safe to remark that there are both spoken and written languages in the sentences. Written language has its own codes but occasionally the traces of spoken language are observed. It is a frequent situation that the author would break the classical sentence structure and move the verb to the end of the sentence. That is sometimes performed willingly, sometimes not. THere can be many diverse aims and structures in doing so. The intentional changes in sentences' structure has been a research field in linguistics. And this very study focuses on procuring the reasons of the inverted sentences' structures. This study focuses specifically on the novel "My Name is Red" of Orhan Pamuk's, and its inverted sentences. Based on the novel , the functions of inverted sentence structures on the Turkey's Turkish were investigated.
