Metafiction in Orhan Pamuk's novels

The purpose of this study is to provide information about the metafiction technique emergenced as a postmodern narrative instrument and is to determine the uses of metafiction in Orhan Pamuk's novels. The study consists of two main parts. In first chapter has provided information about postmodernism, Orhan Pamuk's novel approach and novel theories have attempted to explain and the metafiction concept has explained. In the second part of the study has determined the metafiction uses in Orhan Pamuk's novel. For this purpose Orhan Pamuk's Cevdet Bey and His Sons, The Silent House, The White Castle, The Black Book, The New Life, My Name is Red, Snow and The Museum of Innocence named his novels was investigated. In Orhan Pamuk's first two novels Cevdet Bey and His Sons and The Silent House named novels haven't been found any metafiction expression. We has encounter Orhan Pamuk's reflections of the original novel approach and has seen metafiction narrative techniques The White Castle described as the first postmodern novel some sources narrative techniques in the novel. Metafiction narrative techniques uses in Orhan Pamuk's novels are:1. A fiction narrating fiction in fiction, 2. A fiction narrating the person writing or reading the novel, 3. To be a character of the novel of the author, 4. The Narrator's call to the reader, 5. A fictional character come out against us as another character of fiction, 6. To be write/fiction's life itself, 7. To alienate of the narrator reader to the text, 8. The narrator provides information to reader in between the lines of text, 9.
