Informatics system refers to utilizing the information and technology and allows a competitive and productive environment in industry which may be classified as software, hardware, and computer user and information society. These may be utilized individually or jointly. It may enrich by adding more information to it. Therefore, we may claim that information refers to power. We need information in order to survive. Utilizing information can be useful by means of technology, sharing information too. Therefore, computers became an important part of our daily lives. Technology in lexical meaning is to process or put information into practice, but in general it refers to information and abilities to be utilized for carrying out effectively research, development, production, marketing, and sale and after-sale services. In case of lack of technology and information, it causes damages and loss for foundations or institutions. In this respect, informatics has an unquestionable importance for the forest-related administrators. If a forestry company or foundation has lack of updated information, strategic resolutions may not be adopted. It is only possible with protection to gain the prospective moral and material benefits from the forests. Therefore, it should be benefited from current information technology and be utilized in forest protection and control intensely.In this thesis, I would like to submit general information about the forests in our country, and explanations about informatics-based solutions required for the protection and control of this national wealth.Key words: Information technology, Informatics-based solutions
