Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research; The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and professional burnout levels of teachers working in secondary schools in Bolu province and its districts. The universe of our research; It consists of teachers working in public secondary education institutions in Bolu province and districts in the 2020-2021 academic year. 360 teachers participated in the research. Personal Information Form, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale and Maslach Burnout Scale were used to collect data. The differentiation status of job satisfaction and burnout levels according to teachers' gender, marital status, age, branch, professional seniority and educational status type of institution where they work and whether they choose their profession voluntarily was determined by non-parametric Mann-Whitney U or Kruskal Wallis tests analyzed. The Sperman Rho Correlation technique was used to determine the relationship between teachers' job satisfaction and burnout levels. The significance of the statistical findings obtained from the study was tested at the .05 level. As a result of the research; teachers' emotional exhaustion level from the general scale, depersonalization and personal achievement levels; It was found that the level of internal satisfaction was relatively higher than the levels of general satisfaction and external satisfaction. Teachers' job satisfaction levels; While there is a significant difference according to gender, type of institution and the variable of choosing the profession willingly; There was no significant difference in the variables of marital status, age, branch, professional seniority and educational status. In the burnout levels of teachers; while there is a significant difference according to the variable of age, type of institution, whether to choose his profession voluntarily or not; no significant difference was found in the variables of gender, marital status, branch, professional seniority and educational status. A moderately significant negative correlation was found between the job satisfaction scale and the occupational burnout scale. Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Occupational Burnout, Teacher
