Abstract (EN)

Our research consists of a horizontal examination of the achievements and contents of Siyer, TDB 1 and 2, and the spiral program structure of the Kur'an-ı Kerim, which are elective courses, while the DKAB course is included in the program in the 5, 6, 7, and 8th grades of secondary school. The aim of our study, which was prepared using the literature review model, is to compare the content and achievements of the curriculum of the compulsory DKAB course and the elective courses, and to present a road map that facilitates the selection process to school administrations, teachers in different branches, parents and students. In this research, it has been mentioned that the DKAB course is compulsory at first, and after the elective courses that were published and entered into force in the Official Gazette in 2012 were specified, the application guidelines of Mahmur ÖZER e-signed elective courses sent to schools with DYS (Document Management System) in 2021 were explained. DKAB, Kur'an-ı Kerim, Siyer, TDB 1 and 2 programs were evaluated by making an overview. Then, based on the grade level, tables were created in terms of the courses that a student at the same level can choose for both the achievements and the content. Afterwards, comparative evaluations were made by adhering to these tables. In this direction, some inferences have been reached, and the positive and deficient aspects of the process have been revealed. In the third part, based on the determinations made, references were made to the achievements and contents and the elective course selection process. In the suggestion and conclusion part, it is stated that the elective courses repeat the DKAB course frequently in terms of content and achievement, and it has been determined that the DKAB curriculum is not supported by elective courses at the grade level, where it is intensively taught. It is frequently seen that especially the parts of the Kur'an-ı Kerim course, which are supposed to be memorized, are included at the end of the DKAB unit. Suggestions for this and similar situations are listed at the end. Keywords: Achievements, curriculum, elective course
