Özet (EN)
Aim: There is a need to gain space in orthodontic treatments for various reasons. Interproximal striping is an important method of gaining space in which the enamel tissue at the interface of the teeth is eroded and can be applied with various methods. After the stripping process, many remineralization methods are used in order to minimize the risks of caries and periodontal damage that may occur on the teeth with abrasions on the enamel surface. In this study, we used remineralizing agents in these regions in order to prevent demineralization caused by the roughness of the enamel tissue, and it was aimed to contribute to the literature by comparing the new enamel tissue formed and determining the best remineralization agent. Material and Method: In our study, it was decided to have premolar tooth extraction as a result of the case discussion, who applied to the Dicle University Faculty of Dentistry Orthodontic clinic for orthodontic treatment, where all teeth were erupted, and the patients to be treated in this way were included in the study. The procedures to be carried out were explained in detail, verbally and in writing, and the necessary consent and consent forms were obtained from our patients who agreed to participate in our study before their teeth were extracted. In order to evaluate the teeth in the most equal conditions possible, healthy premolar teeth without caries, fractures, cracks, restorations or enamel defects were included. At least 80 teeth will be included in our study. Teeth were examined by dividing into 7 different groups. In our study, a strip sander (interface abrasion strips of the GC DentaSınıc Professional Starter Kit Ortho-Strips system) mounted on the rotary head was used for striping. Polishing discs (Sof-Lex 3M ESPE 2380) were used to polish the surfaces after stripping. In our study, as a remineralizing agent; Casein phosphopeptide amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) as cream, GC Tooth Mousse (RecaldentTM; GC Corp., Japan) with 10% CPP-ACP, casein phosphopeptide amorphous calcium fluorine phosphate (CPP-ACFP as cream, 10%) MI Paste Plus (RecaldentTM; GC Corp., Japan), containing 0.2% NaF (900 ppm) in addition to ½ CPP-ACP, as Fluorine varnish (Proshield), Tricalcium phosphate (TCP)+Fluoride varnish (Clinpro White) used. Results: When SEM images were examined, it was observed that all remineralization materials used in our study formed calcified precipitates on the test surface. Ca, Ca/P ratio and wt% thinning of F ions were performed by SEM/EDX and significant differences were found between the groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: In our study, in which we evaluated remineralizing agents, all remineralizing agents were found to be effective. MI Paste Plus was found to be superior to other agents.
