Abstract (EN)
This descriptive study was conducted to determine the relationship between perioperative care quality and patient satisfaction in patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. The study was conducted with 133 patients who had orthopedic surgery in the orthopedic clinic of Yozgat Bozok University Research and Application Center between July 2020 and November 2021. Data was collected using the Introductory Characteristics Information Form, Good Perioperative of Nursing Care Scale and Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Care Scale. p<0.05 is accepted for the level of validity of the statistical tests. Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Shapiro Wilk test, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H test, Dunn test, Spearman's rho correlation coefficient, linear regression analysis were used to evaluate the data. When the total mean scores of the scales used in the study were examined, the mean score of the Quality Perioperative Nursing Care Scale was 147.44±14.71, and the total mean score of the Newcastle Nursing Care Satisfaction Scale was 94.65 ± 7.73. Our results show that the scores obtained by patients from the sub-dimension of physical care is highest (45.93 ± 5.42), in the sub-dimension of Good Perioperative of Nursing Care Scale. A positive medium relationship was found between the total score of Good Perioperative of Nursing Care Scale and the total score Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Care Scale. As the total score of the patients Good Perioperative of Nursing Care Scale increases, Newcastle Nursing increases with the satisfaction scale. This result in our research shows that the positive quality of perioperative care increases the satisfaction of nursing. Therefore, it is important to increase patient satisfaction to provide quality perioperative care.
