Abstract (EN)

Folk tale is a kind of narrative in which real or real like stories are narrated and whose subject is generally heroism and love folk tales reflect social, political and cultural features of the old periods. The storyteller is called minstrels. The minstrels use both proses and verses while they narrate a story. They refer to prose to accelerate the narration of events, at the same time, they use verses to reflect the thoughts and feelings of the heroes. Unfortunately; "the minstrel tradition" is faced extinction today. This tradition appears only a few places in Anatolia. Çukurova Region is one of the rare places where "minstrel tradition" has contiuned invariably. In Çukurova, The minstrel narrate folk tales and ballads to audiences in coffeehouses and various places by wandering vilage to vilage with their musical instruments (saz) in their hands. In this manner, they help both our cultural heritage to contiune and earn their income. In this study, the information about the life, art and works of Minstrel Mustafa Çabuk, who has been one of the most important minstrels of twenty-first century, when minstrel tradition has started to fade into oblivition, has been introduced. In this thesis, the features of research topic and research works on this topic are included. The information about Performance Theory is presented. Eight variants belongs to Köroğlu (Turna Teli, Yemen, Khorassan, Muscovy, Köroglu kidnapped Ayvaz, Köroğlu was prisoned and Stories of Damascus Expedition) which are obtained from Minstrel Mustafa Çabuk are examined. In this study, Performance Theory method, which is used by İsmail Görkem in his books "Halk Hikâyeleri Araştırmaları, Çukurovalı Âşık Mustafa Köse and Hikâye Repertuvarı" , modern poetry and story analysis methods are used as method of investigation.
