Ayıntâb Şehreküstü Neighborhood in the Ottoman period

This study, which examines the physical, demographic, social and economic situation of Şehreküstü Neighborhood in Ayıntab during the Ottoman Period, consists of five chapters. The subject and purposel of the study were evaluated, and information was provided on related studies, in the introduction section. The creation of cities and neighborhoods is discussed in the first section, along with a brief description of the "Şehreküstü Districts" in other Ottoman cities. The development of Ayıntab Şehreküstü Neighborhood, the primary focus of the thesis, as well as its boundaries, population, and residents' circumstances are discussed in the second section. The third chapter examines in depth the neighborhood's social and religious systems, housing kinds, and house sales. The fourth chapter discusses the responsibilities of the citizens and how peace and security are maintained.
