Pursuing reforms in Ottoman ordre and Katip Çelebi

From 16th century in which Ottoman Empire's system appearanced defeat, the foremost intellectuals presented their own resolutions to the Sultan (Padi-şah) about the problems systematically. One of them was the book of Katip Çelebi namely "Düstürü'l-amel li-ıslahi'l halel" published at 17th century. İn this book the writer arranged some measures that could be cure for the present troubles. The book invastigated the problems through three social groups (villager, soldier and treasure of the Ottoman state) and each of them are considered and discussed in order. He used the analogy as a method in his text and compared directly the human body and the state as a body. According to Katip Çelebi the basic reason of the defeats was that Ottoman Sultan's abandoned their former state traditions. Hence the main solution to the defeats was returned to the former (kadim) traditions and mentality.
