Özet (EN)

The history of the press has great importance in historical studies.Because newspapers and magazines are the sources that can best show the conditions of the period in which they were published. For this reason, scanning the newspapers guides the research.Compared to other contemporaries, the Ottoman state met with the printing press late. Thanks to the steps taken in the direction of modernization, the first Turkish printing house was established in 1727 by İbrahim Müteferika. The first newspaper published with the support of the state was Calendar-i Vekayi, and the first magazine was Vaka-yı Tıbbiye. Then there was an increase in the publication of newspapers and magazines. The journal, which was the spokesperson of the Ottoman Youth Associations and used the same name, started its publication life in 1917.We have the number 26 of the assembly, the right of which was obtained from the Tarik Us archive, and the pocket booklet of the Ottoman Youth association, which was issued by Von Hoff, who was the deputy inspector of the association.Accordingly, the review of these 26 issues and pocket booklets will be the subject of the study.Youth associations magazine is an educational magazine that comes out once a month and consists of 10 copies. When looking at the author's staff, it can be seen that the articles are usually written by Selim Sırrı, who is the inspector of the Ottoman Youth Association, and Von Hoff, who is the deputy inspector. The Ottoman Youth Association, which is the subject of my thesis, started its activities as a result of Turkish-German cooperation during the period when the First World War was ongoing. As a goal, it was aimed to educate young people healthy both physically and spiritually in accordance with the conditions of the period. For this purpose, training such as physical education, spiritual education, psychohygiene has been given weight. What was expected from the magazine, which was published 1 year after the establishment of the association, was to contribute to the training of new guides and to make their voices heard by the young people who did not reach the association.
