Education in the Sanjak of Siird during the Ottoman renewal period

In our thesis on "Education in Siird Sanjak during the Ottoman Renovation Period", tried to be discussed in general terms, the educational status of Siird Sanjak, an important training center, after Tanzimat period and educational activities in the Ottoman State. At the entrance, tried to explain, the status of the traditional educational institutions of the Ottoman State before the Tanzimat period. In the first part, the post-Tanzimat education institutions of the Ottoman State were examined. In the second part, from the beginning to the renovation period, the classical educational institutions opened in Siird Sanjak and the modern schools opened after the Tanzimat period were discussed. In this context, detailed information was given about the medreses and mosque schools, iptidai, ruddhiye, idadi, non-Muslim and foreign government schools in Siird Sanjak. In the third chapter, Tanzimat period and afterwards cultural activities in Siird Sanjak were discussed. In the conclusion section, a general evaluation was made about the educational activities seen in Siird Sanjak with the Tanzimat process. In this framework, attempts were made to evaluate the reflections of the opening policies of the modern educational institutions of the Ottoman Empire throughout the country to Siird Sanjak.
