Abstract (EN)

Osteosarcoma is a difficult disease to treat due to its occurrence in adolescents, low survival time and high side effect profile of anticancer drugs used. In order to overcome the limitations in the use of existing chemotherapeutics, this project will be carried out on the development of a drug delivery system (DDS) formulation based on cisplatin, a wellknown antineoplastic agent. DDSs, as a multidisciplinary field that has been studied intensively in recent years, are technologies that play an important role in smart drug designs. Various systems such as liposomes, micelles, polymers, gels, gold nanoparticles, niosomes, solid lipid nanoparticles, dendrimers, nanocapsules can be developed to increase the treatment success of conventional drugs, especially for cancer types. The drug designed in this study will create a copolymeric micellar structure for the delivery system. It is planned to increase the bioavailability of the drug and carry the cisplatin drug molecule through the 1,1-di-tert-butyl-3-(2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl)-buthane-1,1,3-tricarboxylate (MAETC) monomer in the polymer, to add a targeting peptide molecule to the end of the second monomer, 3-(trimethylsillyl) prop-2-in-1-yl polymethacrylate (TMSpMA), to gain hydrophilic properties with 2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate (HEMA), and ultimately to develop a system that will form micelle with self-assembly.
