Authentic leadership relations and psychological capital: A field study in Gaziantep

The purpose of this research; the relationship between authentic leadership and psychological capital and the dimensions of these variables; is to test whether authentic leadership perceptions and psychological capital levels vary according to the demographic characteristics of the participants. For this reason, this survey study was carried out with the participation of 521 personnel working in a manufacturing sector in the textile sector in Gaziantep. The obtained data were analyzed in the SPSS 24 program. As a result of these analyzes, between the dimension of transparency and the dimension of psychological capital in relation to authentic leadership dimensions, between the understanding of work ethic and self-sufficiency; negative correlation was found between ego-state and all dimensions of psychological capital. The overall authentic leadership is positively related to durability dimension. According to the demographic characteristics of the respondents, the result is that the perceptions of authentic leadership and psychological capital levels show significant differences.
