Abstract (EN)
The Covid-19 pandemic, which has been on the world's topic since December 2019, has become a major crisis. The length of this crisis process has directly affected the service sector as well as every sector. The negative effects of the epidemic on businesses are an undeniable fact. The enterprises involved in this struggle have taken measures within their own structure and adapted the crisis management process to their enterprises. During this painful period of enterprises, the crisis management process planned varies depending on factors such as bed and room capacity, number of staff, number of stars, business size, customer profile. During the epidemic process, many enterprises have entered a period of collapse by failing to manage the crisis in a positive way. For this reason, it have been that it is a difficult process for enterprises to achieve strategic planning and projected goals during crisis periods. Enterprises that can turn the crisis process into an opportunity have managed to stay afloat. In the study, the Covid-19 epidemic, which has become a major crisis all over the world, and the effect of this epidemic on Bursa province are investigated. 4 and 5 star hotel businesses in Bursa, which is one of the important tourism destinations in our country, constitute the universe of the research. In line with the information received from Bursa Culture and Tourism Directorate, it has been learned that there are 38 hotels with 4 and 5 stars in total in Bursa. Within the scope of the research, access to the entire universe was provided and an interview was requested. All hotel businesses that agreed to participate in the research were interviewed. The number of hotel businesses that accepted to participate in the research is 21. Interview method, one of the qualitative data collection methods, was used in the research. The interviews were conducted with semi-structured interview technique and an interview form consisting of 11 questions was used in the research on the grounds of reaching detailed information about the subject and evaluating the entire crisis process. The research was completed by interviewing 21 managers. However, it has the quality of being a resource for the studies to be carried out during and after the Covid-19 pandemic in the future. As a result of the research, it has been concluded that Bursa province has been negatively affected by the Covid-19 crisis both in terms of accommodation businesses and in terms of regional tourism. In addition, it has been concluded that the Covid-19 crisis has reduced tourism mobility to such an extent that it can be said to disappear in some periods and it will take time to correct this process. According to the information obtained, it has been observed that this crisis has negatively affected the lives of individuals from an economic, social and psychological point of view.
