A study concerning the managerial competence perceptions of the managers at hotel businesses and business performance

In this study, the relationship between the managerial competence perceptions and general enterprise performance perceptions of Marmara Region Hotel Industry employees has been investigated. In addition to this, moderator roles of hotel and employee qualifications in the relationship between managerial competence perceptions and general enterprise performance has been examined. The study has been performed on 556 participants in total by making use of quantitative research techniques. First, the frequency analysis devoted to the demographic features of the participants, and then the validity and reliability analysis of the scales used in the study have been performed. Afterwards, the corelation analysis has been performed to examine the relationships between the variables, and eventually regretion analysis has been done in order to test the hypotheses. In the study, the PROCESS add-on of Hayes has been utilized in order to test the moderator effect of hotel and participant qualificastions. The findings are in a direction that the managerial competence perceptions of the hotel employees in Marmara region affect general enterprise performance. Furthermore, it has been observed that not only the room number and the location of the hotel among the hotel qualifications but also the age, industrial experience, the positions of the employees among the participant qualifications have moderator effect on the relationship between managerial competence and general enterprise performance perception.
