Abstract (EN)
Human beings, lived in temporary settlements such as cave, tent or oba while hunting and gathering. In the process of urbanization, they later have lived in permanent settlements in the process of agriculture and animal husbandry. The concept of trade has begun with the evolution of the order of life, and people have first interacted with the near and then with their remote environment. With this interaction, cities were developed, culture exchange was done and awareness was raised among the communities' belief systems. These changes contributed to urban development while affecting on urban planning decisions and urban space constructions. Since the formation of urban space is formed as a result of social, cultural and physical formation and interaction, it is the basic starting point of this study to determine how this formation occurs, how it is formed as well as which method can analyse its comprehensibility. In this direction, first of all, it is aimed to obtain data about the formation of the city foundation of the ancient cities of Ovalık Kilikya region, which is a part of the Anatolian territory from the past to the present. In order to obtain this data, an Urban Analysis model was developed and the space syntax method was used in the analysis of ancient city plans. As a result of the analyses conducted in the study, the data obtained are evaluated and it is concluded that the ancient cities of Ovalık Cilicia Rome are not coincidental, but within the measurable limits of human perception. Foundational differences have been revealed by comparing the differences in integration values of cities.
