Abstract (EN)

In this study, the question words in Uzbek, the functions of the Questions based on these words and the denotations apart from Questions the interrogative articles and the functions of these articles have been analyzed in Uzbek language. The material that reflects Uzbek language stuctures in great extent and used in this study is selected from different various literary sources and texts in order to determinethe frequences and the different fields of question structures. This study consist of four chapters. In the introduction part question types have been analyzed. In the second part, the complete part of questions requiring answers and in the third part, the complete questions of non-recuiring answers have been assessed. The final chapter of the thesis consists of the Conclusion part. In the introduction, the content, the aim, the subjects and the methods used of this study have been informed and fort he purpose of constructing, theoretical framework definition of the questions, some global linguistic point of views were stressed and some linguistic theories were related and interms of Uzbek linguistics, question structures were extensively elaborated. After arranging the approaches and explanations on the questions, Uzbek question types were analyzed in order.In the second chapter yes/no questions under the heading questions requiring answers questions based on the question words, intonations and the questions which are made by the appendix of questions were categorizedin terms of usages. Question words assessed by lexis type were categorized into three groups, pronouns, adjectives and adverbs. In the third chapter which includes questions non-requiring answers, interrogative articles, rhetorical questions, comprised by question words alternative questions, reflection questions sequence questions, partical questions, the intonations requiring non answers and the embedded questions were analyzed. In this section questions that are comprised by question appendix are also included. The fourth chapter which composes the Conclusion part, by taking above mentioned chapters into consideration, Uzbek question marks, question words, question functions taht is basd on these words and the frequences of these questions were involved in this section. The similarities and differences between Turkey Turkish and Uzbek language were elaborated and beside this, the importance of Uzbek linguistics was emphasized by making an assessment of question in Uzbek language.
