Abstract (EN)
The phenomenon of transformative leadership is a topic that has attracted the attention of many researchers in recent years as a leadership style that provides change in continuity by mobilizing employees with the vision it creates, and organizes the organization according to the new trend with the changes it makes in the political, technical and cultural system. This research aims to examine the effect of transformative leadership characteristics of healthcare personnel working in a private hospital on organizational culture. The population of the cross-sectional research is a private hospital operating in Istanbul. The data of the research was collected by the questionnaire technique. In order to collect data, the "Transformational Leadership Scale" developed by Avolio&Bass and Turkish validity and reliability study was conducted by Koç (2020), and the "Organizational Culture Scale" developed by Denison and validated in Turkish by Yahyagil (2004). The scales were applied to 375 people working in the administrative and patient services units of a hospital operating in the province of Istanbul and the obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS statistical analysis program. According to the results obtained from the study, there is no statistically significant relationship between the transformational leadership and organizational culture perceptions of healthcare professionals and their gender; on the other hand, the transformational leadership sub-dimensions of healthcare professionals, such as intellectual stimulation and being a suitable model (t=2,056; p<0,05), individual attention (t=2,182; p<0,05) and harmony with organizational culture sub-dimension (t=2,324; p<0,05) scale, it was observed that there was a significant difference according to the positions they worked in the hospital. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was found that there was a strong positive correlation between the transformational leadership sub-dimensions, motivation (r=0,632), intellectual stimulation and being a suitable model (r=0,636), acceptance of group goals (r=0,620) and mission.
