Modern management approach in hospitals – a study

Abstract (EN)

Due to the increasing competition conditions among private hospitals; the hospitals managed in a more professional manner, showing sustainable growth, giving importance to quality and satisfaction of patient and employee, institutionally organizing and marketing their activities well in modern way are survivable. This study consists of four parts. In the first part, the concepts of patients and hospitals are explained. Structures of hospitals, characteristics, aims, organizational structures, classification, factors affecting hospital selection of patients are explained. In the second part, the concept of health, the classification of health services, the characteristics of health services and the health system are explained. In the third part, traditional and modern management understanding has been discussed about management and hospital management, historical aspects regarding development of hospital and health management, hospital and health management in Turkey as well as in the world, The final part comprises the purpose, methodology, model, universe and sampling of the research, data collection tools and analysis and findings. Evaluation of the materials has been done using SPSS 20 program.
