Abstract (EN)
The issue of social responsibility in hospitals is a very limited number of studies in the literature. The number of private hospitals and service area has expanded by the liberal transformation of health care in the world and in Turkey. The aim of this research is to reveal how private hospital social responsibility is defined by the stakeholders in the current process. In addition, it aimed to get the suggestions and expectations of the stakeholders on the factors that prevent the effective execution of voluntary social responsibility projects in hospitals and the realization of effective social responsibility projects. The research covers four private hospitals in Istanbul and internal, external and interface stakeholders which are defined for private hospitals. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted with 25 participants using semi-structured questionnaires. The data obtained after the interview and the qualitative data coding in MAXQDA 18 © were analyzed by content analysis (code frequency, calculation and mapping of relationships between themes and categories). According to the results of the research, a private hospital social responsibility model and definition was obtained. Key Words: Social Responsibility, Hospital
