A typical comparison of secondary school students with special learning difficulties with self-esteem and motor competencies

The aim of the study was to investigate whether ther are significant differences in the self-esteem and motor Deciency of secondary school students with special learning disabilities among their typical developing peers. The Piers Harris selfesteem scale was used to determine the children's self-esteem, and the BOT-2 motor proficiency test was used to measure their motor skills. The study included typical girls and boys secondary school students between the ages of 10-14 and those with ÖÖG December. A total of 181 people were included in the study, including 90 in each group. 90 ÖÖG and 91 typical developing secondary school students were included in the study. Before the evaluation, the parents of the participants were informed about the study and the demographic data of the participants were recorded. The study was conducted in special education and rehabilitation centers affiliated to the ministry of national education of Bursa province and secondary schools affiliated to the ministry of national Education The analysis of the data obtained from 181 participants as a result of the research was carried out by IBM SPSS Statistics 22 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL) program was used. In the research, the children's personal information form, Bruininks-Oseretsky Motor Proficiency Test 2 Short Forms were included. The skewness and kurtosis values of the scale scores were examined and it was found that they provided the normality conditions, and therefore parametric methods were used in comparisons related to the scale scores. In the analysis of data; descriptive categorical data are shown as number (n) and percentage (%), while quantitative data are shown as mean and standard deviation values, skewness, kurtosis, minimum and maximum values. The Independent Sample T test was used to compare the averages of two independent groups, and One Way ANOVA was used to compare the averages of more than two groups. Pearson Correlation analysis was applied to investigate the relationship of quantitative variables between the scores. Dec. The significance value was taken as p<0.05. As a result of our study, it has been revealed that children with special learning disabilities and children with typical Deceleration are deficient in terms of motor competence. According to these results, it can be said that children should receive additional support in terms of motor skills in special October education and rehabilitation centers.
