Abstract (EN)

The labor force, which is one of the most important production factors, faces many risk factors during the work. These risks threaten people's quality of life on the one hand and cause production disruption. In this way, these people, who are generally the only source of income, are faced with a major problem that may affect their lives in a negative way. Therefore, it can be said that the risks to which the labor force is exposed have important economic, social and political consequences. The risks involved in working life have different dimensions. While some of these risks are visible, others are difficult to see and detect because they do not have a physical output. These risks, which are also called psychosocial risks, force people psychologically and reduce their quality of life. In addition, these risks affect employees at different levels according to demographic characteristics, income level, education level and similar personality traits. Therefore, as in physiological risks, risk and loss identification is not easy to make. In this study, psychosocial risk factors of individuals working in private educational institutions in Mersin were investigated. As a result of the study, it is concluded that employees with all demographic characteristics are exposed to psychosocial risks to a certain extent and these risks decrease both labor productivity and quality of life. There are various measures that can be taken to prevent such negativities and it is concluded that the risk should not be evaluated in the second plan due to lack of physiological output.
