Abstract (EN)
Surveillance had a functional role in all societies as a social control mechanism along the history. It was adapted following new situations formed as a result of new echonomical, political, social and cultural developments to be appropriate it for the new situations. So how the surveillance was formed in accordance with the three variation; surveillance society, information society and consumption society which can see as a turning point in the social transformation. Also it was followed the tracks of which surveillance is not only a social control mechanism but also is a tool of power and reformation for the authorities.
