Abstract (EN)
This study aims to analyze all the written texts concerning the waqfs in theframework of their evolution beginning from the brief history of waqfs.Theoretical books, periodicals and articles construct the basis of this study, and ittries to evaluate the content of those texts in terms of cash waqfs.In Conclusion1- It is approved that cash waqfs have great importance in the turkish financialhistory.2- Today, it appears that the capital of "vakıflar bankası" derives from those cashwaqfs.3- It seems that Vakıf Girisim Venture Capıtal Investment Company Co. which is anenterprise of "Vakıflar Bankası" is the first and pioneer institution of the sector.4- It shows that venture capıtal ınvestment company is a proper example in terms ofmanagement of cash waqfs according to ıslamic manner.As a result of this study, it can be stated that cash waqfs continue theiradventures in "Vakıfbank", and that the General Directorate of Waqfs, with itsgrowing budget and annual investments in the last decade, makes great contributionto turkish economy through managing endowed money in the most suitable manner.
