Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to examine the relationship between individuals' obsessions and compulsions towards their relationships, their obsessions and compulsions towards their partners, causality and responsibility attributions, and marital adjustment. A total of 311 married-people, 182 women and 129 men, aged between 23 and 61 participated in the study. Demographic information form, The Relationship Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory (ROCI), The Partner-Related Obsessive-Compulsive Symptom Inventory (PIOCSI), Relationship Attribution Scale (RAS) and Marriage Adjustment Scale (MAS) were used to collect data from the participants. ANOVA, MANOVA, Pearson Correlation and regression analysis were conducted to the collected data. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the variables. It was concluded that romantic relationship obsessions and compulsions, partner-oriented obsessions and compulsions, causality and responsibility attributions predicted marital adjustment negatively.
