Özet (EN)

No distinction between the individuals that make up the society is as obvious and widespread as the difference between the male and female gender. This distinction between gender is the patriarchy that reinforces the secondary position of the woman and that makes the man superior in society and social relations. In contemporary and traditional societies, patriarchy is a social structure that determines gender relationships which are observed and analyzed in different dimensions in social groups and categories. In this system, woman has become invisible in the historical process. In many official sources the idea of women was biased by the male-centered view and even ignored. At this point, 20-12 BC in the history of Anatolia. the Amazons, which have been in existence for centuries are important in terms of women's history. The fact that the Amazons fought a lot and were made up of women led to their view and expression of being a savage tribe that killed male enemies, Barbarians and men. However, all these accusations against the Amazons are due to their strong resistance against Patriarchy. In addition, that it is composed of only women makes them percieved as matriarchal social structure. However, Amazon becomes an icon that puts its law in the face of all the violence of men. This symbol is the subject of the investigation of feminism and the investigation of gender in modern thought. Our aim is to see how men's sovereign society has been expressed and how men's sovereign power has been expressed, starting from the periods in which women can be seen in the context of feminism and gender, and to show patriarchy through Amazon women how they have been expressed. In this context, the qualitative content analysis method was used. Keywords: Amazon, Gender, Feminism, Patriarchy, Matriarchy.
