Abstract (EN)

The main objective of the study was to investigate the polymorphisms in intron 2, 3 and 4 of the growth hormone (GH) gene of Pekin ducks. Forthis purpose, in the both sex 5-10 ml blood samples were obtained from of adult Pekin ducks. Three primers were used to determined genetic polymorphisms of intron 2, 3 and 4 of the GH gene with PCR-RFLP methods using BsmF1. As a results of studies only the products amplified from intron 2 showed polymorphisms. No genetic variation was found in intron 3 and intron 4. Three genotypes (TT, CT and CC) were observed in the intron 2 region. The gene frequencies of T and C alleles were calculated to be 0,7521 and 0,2479, respectively. The studied population was observed to be in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.
