Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted as descriptive cross-sectional study with first and last measurement in order to evaluate the effects of perineoplasty and vulvaplasty on female sexual function. It was carried out at the Gaziantep Private Medical Park Hospital Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic between June 2019 and June 2020. All necessary permissions were obtained before the study. Power analysis was carried out to determine number of patients and 40 people were included in the study. A descriptive information form and the female sexual function index had been used in the study to collect data. The data were then analyzed using SPSS 24 packaged software. The Cronbach's alpha values were calculated in order to test validity and reliability. The postoperative total scale value and internal consistency coefficient Cronbach's alpha value were found to be 78.48 ± 11.19 and 0.962, respectively. The results were evaluated at the significance level of p<0.05; a statistically significant improvement was found in sexual desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm and satisfaction domains of patients after perineoplasty and vulvaplasty surgery (p <0.005).
