Abstract (EN)

Phlomis chimerae is an endemic species in the province of Antalya, belonging to the Lamiaceae family, which includes medicinal and aromatic species due to its intense essential and aromatic oil (essentials, essential oils) contents. The aim of this study; The aim of this study is to characterize the morphological, ecological, edaphic characteristics among the populations and to determine the reproduction techniques in order to reveal the ornamental plant potential and the possibilities of use in the landscape of the endemic Phlomis chimerae (Lamiaceae) species, which is naturally distributed in the flora of Antalya. According to the findings obtained, it was determined that there were significant differences between populations in terms of many morphological features. Having such a narrow distribution area, it is considered an advantage of the species to have variation in terms of morphological characters among its populations, and it is thought to be a reserve that will support selection studies that form the basis of future breeding studies. When we consider the results regarding leaf and flower characteristics as a whole It was determined that individuals belonging to the, Adrasan, Ulupınar and Olympos populations had larger flower spikes. It is understood that the individuals with the most delicate leaf texture among the populations are located in Alacasu and the individuals with delicate flower structure in Düzlerçamı. In particular, UL2 and OL5 individuals differ from all other individuals in terms of morphological characters. It is among the results obtained that as the amount of clay, phosphorus and potassium in the growing medium increases, the species expands its distribution area and tends to lengthen the plant. All these results are very important for the cultivation/cultivation of the species, and are guiding information for the fertilization programs to be carried out. This important diversity of populations should be taken into consideration in breeding studies, it is recommended to include populations with high diversity in programs.
