Abstract (EN)

In this study, antioxidant effects of extracts water and ethanol of Pistacia terebinthus, Morus alba, Salvia multicaulis, which are under in vitro conditions were investigated. The lipid preoxidation (LPO), level of fatty acid, lipophilic vitamin values and cholesterol levels were measured based on the environmental conditions, the amount of protein and glutathione. For this purpose, control, H2O2 reagent and containing extract of Pistacia terebinthus groups and their combinations were used.In order to determine the antioxidant and antiradical activities of extracts, the total antioxidant activity, 2,2´-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) radical scavenging activity, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH?) free radical scavenging activity, reducing power, superoxide anion radical (O2?-) scavenging activity, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, FRAP assay and metal chelating activities were performed separately. In addition, total phenolic compound in extracts were determined as pyrocatechol and quercetin equivalent. The extracts showed effectively antioxidant activity.According to the results of the experiment, ?in vivo? environments, LPO levels of groups, which include Pistacia terebinthus-H2O2, were observed to decrease in specific ratios (p<0.0001). In the studies on rats, it has been identified that protein, glutathione, vitamin-cholesterol and fatty acid levels were affected by extracts. The results obtained in the present study indicated that the plant extracts have a potential source of natural antioxidant.Key Words: Pistacia terebinthus, Morus alba, Salvia multicaulis, Antioxidant, Rat, Lipid peoxidation, Cholesterol, Lipophilic vitamin, Fatty acid
