The study of adaptation of the piano to Turkish culture at faculties of education

In this research called ?The Study of Adaptation of the Piano to Turkish Culture at Faculties of Education?, the problems about using the piano in music education have been examined in music departments in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir and some solutions have been proposed. The research has been done in conjunction with four different disciplines such as anthropology, music education, ethnomusicology and education anthropology because the function of musical education in Turkish culture is examined. While doing the research among these disciplines, a qualitative research was used as the research method, and phenomenological approach based on experiences of individuals was used. During the fieldwork that was carried out with 48 participants, this data was collected by using some data collecting techniques such as observation, in-depth interview and focus group meeting, and different dimensions and problems of music and piano education were put forward.
