The motivating rolls of police training collage adminisrator

Police training colleges , only resources for training police constables, werefounded by the 4652 registration numbered Police Higher Education Code which waspublished in the official gazette on 25 April 2001.Turkish National Police Service adapted itself for the rapit change anddevelopment in society and restructured police training schools into police trainingcolleges, extending traing and education term to 24 months from 8 months. Moreover,this code also allowed allocating positions to employ professors. Currently policetraining and education is carried out by the ranking and non-ranking police instructorsand also professors.College administrators have the full responsibility and burdens on theirshoulders in order to train and qualify police constables. Administrators should have theleading track of change, progress and development in their schools. They also have toincrease the quality and work capacity of their employees by using the all facilities andresources of the school which are dispensed by their decisions.The main goal of this research is to determine and find out the motivation rolesof police training college administrators.2As a data gathering instrument, a five-scaled Likert type guestionnaire was used. Theguestionnaire items were grouped to form dimensions such as participation in makingdecisions, communication, support and reward, performance appraisal, empowerment, modelformation, and conflict management.The data were analyzed by means of SPSS 10.0 statistical program and t, ANOVA,Mann-Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis tests were computed.The findings have revealed that there are significant differences between/among theviews of the subjects towards the motivational skills of principals for the professionaldevelopments of teachers.
