Evaulating police internship program based on constructivist learning theory according to the police trainers and police cadet points of view

This research has been conducted for the purpose of evaluating the Police cadetsinternship program on the based of constructivist learning theory according to the policetrainers? and police cadets? point of view. Adana province has been determined as theuniverse of the research. The poll questions, which have been prepared based on constructivistlearning theory as the means of data collection in the research, have been applied to 143cadets who educate in the first level in Adana Police school in the 2005-2006-education yearand 34 police inspectors( trainers) who are responsible for Police cadets? internship educationin the field. In accordance with the research data, majority of the cadets find the internshipprogram unsatisfactory. The reasons, like being unable of the cadet? knowledge at sufficientlevel, the being unable of the Police inspectors (internship expert) to guide them at thesufficient level, lack of group work, lack of student centered learning design, being unable toreconstruct the data learned from school into real life situation by questioning and meaningthem etc. affect their internship education.
