Abstract (EN)

One of the interaction areas established by the novel, which opens the doors of a fictional world, is popular culture. The popular novel that emerged as a result of this interaction was produced within the limits of certain patterns. In these works, which are intended to appeal to a wide audience, stereotypes and structures are used that will not surprise the reader. Populer novels whose purpose is to be read more and sold more, existed from the first products of the aforementioned genre and were ignored because they did not have aesthetic concerns. One of the lessons that the reader prefers in these works is that besides reflecting their own behavior, they offer a place of escape and relaxation. It is seen that the popular novel has value on finding momentum and making a difference by academic environments, especially after the Republican Period. In this study, we will focus on the place where Canan Tan, who has managed to reach a wide readership in recent years, has the tradition of popular culture.
